The Mezz Classic 10 Ball
The Mezz Classic 10 Ball Event kicked off this past week and with billiard players from around the world as well as from all over the United States, justifily it was well anticipated. With big named billiard pool players such as Johnny Archer, Shawn Putnam, Mika Immonen, Shane Van Boening and Yu Ram Cha it was anyones game, but Mika Immonen would be the one to make it through the bottom of the brackets to the finals were he would battle it out against Rodney Morris.
Immonen had his work cut out for him what looked like an easy draw as it started out with a bye would turn into quite a challenge. Immonen would defeat Mark Ritter in his first match 8-3, Dan Dennis 8-3 before he would face off against heavy hitter Shawn Putnam. Immonen made quick work of Putnam defeating him 8-4. His roll would continue as he would send Hohmann to the one loss side 8-4 as well.
In the match for the hot seat, Mikkia Immonen had his work cut out for him as he went to the hill against Shane Van Boening. Immonen managed to pull it off sending Shane Van Boening to the one loss side. Once on the one loss side Van Boening would lose to Rodney Morris 8-2 sending Morris back across the chart to face Immonen.
Mika Immonen who had made his ways to the finals undefeated was determined to take home first as he and Morris would battle it out in a long hard fight to determine who would take home the first place title. Immonen started off strong to take the lead but Morris would come back to tie it up. Immonen and Morris would battle back in forth until Immonen would get on a roll and win the next three games to claim first place.
